It offers a comprehensive care for a complete range of kidney diseases which include evaluation and management of acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease, pre renal transplant evaluation and post renal transplant care and management of end stage renal failure.
Various procedures available in the nephrology department include ultrasonography examination of the kidneys and vascular access, realtime ultrasonography guided insertion of non cuffed haemodialysis catheters, and realtime ultrasonographic guided kidney biopsy (normal and plugged kidney biopsies).
